Optimal range and Doppler centroid estimation for a ScanSAR system
نویسنده
چکیده
llstimation This paper presents a new range and Doppler centroid estimation algorithm for a ScanSAR system. Its accurate range and Doppler centroid estimates lead to refined radar pointing angles, which enables the ScanSAR imagery meeting its radiometric requirements. This algorithm attains an accuracy equal to the Cramer Rae's lower bound for both the homogeneous and quasi-homogeneous targets. This algorithm is also efficient in computation and easy for implementation.

Scansar Image Quality Enhancement Using Fitted-geometry Doppler Surface
Most of currently operational Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites include the Scanning SAR (ScanSAR) mode for extended remote sensing applications. The extended swath provided by the ScanSAR mode can make up for the disadvantage of normal satellite SAR operation, such as limited coverage areas and short revisiting times. Therefore the ScanSAR mode is desired, especially when reduced resol...
متن کاملBurst-mode and ScanSAR interferometry
ScanSAR interferometry is an attractive option for efficient topographic mapping of large areas and for monitoring of large-scale motions. Only ScanSAR interferometry made it possible to map almost the entire landmass of the earth in the 11-day Shuttle Radar Topography Mission. Also the operational satellites RADARSAT and ENVISAT offer ScanSAR imaging modes and thus allow for repeat-pass ScanSA...
متن کاملEstimation of Ocean Current Velocity near Incheon using Radarsat-1 SAR and HF-radar Data
This paper presents the results of the ocean surface current velocity estimation using 6 Radarsat-1 SAR images acquired in west coastal area near Incheon. We extracted the surface velocity from SAR images based on the Doppler shift approach in which the azimuth frequency shift is related to the motion of surface target in the radar direction. The Doppler shift was measured by the difference bet...
متن کاملOptimal "focusing" for low resolution ScanSAR
This paper deals with the focusing of low resolution ScanSAR data, for both detected amplitude images and interferometric applications. The SAR reference is exploited to achieve ScanSAR focusing in conventional techniques. Such techniques provide quite effective compensation of the Azimuth Antenna Pattern (AAP) (e.g. no-scalloping) when the azimuth Time-Bandwidth Product (TBPaz) of the ScanSAR ...
متن کاملA Model-Driven Decision Support System for Software Cost Estimation (Case Study: Projects in NASA60 Dataset)
Estimating the costs of software development is one of the most important activities in software project management. Inaccuracies in such estimates may cause irreparable loss. A low estimate of the cost of projects will result in failure on delivery on time and indicates the inefficiency of the software development team. On the other hand, high estimates of resources and costs for a project wil...
